More Gas Rate Increases Granted
The Detroit Free Press reports that the Michigan Public Service Commission has approved a 47% increase in Consumers Energy's gas-cost recovery program for the year and a similar increase for Monroe-based Aquila Networks. Michigan Attorney General Mike Cox has argued that Michigan utilities should delay their recovery increases until after the winter and then spread them out over a 12-month period to soften the blow.
