Study Finds Fewer College Grad Hires Planned in Michigan

The Lansing State Journal reports that a survey conducted by the Collegiate Employment Research Institute at MSU has found that Michigan employers are planning to hire 43% fewer new college graduates in 2005-06. The drop comes primarily from hiring cuts by large manufacturing companies and Tier 1 automotive suppliers, along with smaller losses in construction and professional services.
