St. Julian's Blue Heron the Top Seller
Detroit News wine writer Sandra Silfven reports that Michigan's top selling wine, Blue Heron, a semi-sweet blend of Riesling, Vidal and Seyval, is slated to hit 35,000 to 40,000 cases this year. It has been designated the flagship wine by St. Julian, Michigan's oldest & largest winery. They produce 120,000 cases of wine annually. The average boutique winery in Michigan might make 5,000 cases total.
