Detroit Public Schools May Need to Close Schools, Slash Budget
The Detroit Free Press reports that Detroit Public Schools officials have projected that the district will have to close nearly half (110) of its 252 schools and cut $380 million from its budget over the next three to five years to climb out of debt and keep up with declining enrollment.
