Jack Lessenberry talks with Roland Zullo, assistant research scientist at the institute of labor and industrial relations at the University of Michigan about at-will employment. He writes:
... last year, a medical benefits firm in Okemos fired workers for smoking on their own time. They could do this because of a legal concept called “at-will employment.”It's an interesting and sometimes controversial subject.
