Solving state's unsolved mysteries by The Red Tape Blog
Red Tape Blog writes: "Casket Man" died years ago, and "Mummy" was found dead in an abandoned house last summer.
Area police and Wayne County morgue officials have pursued every lead and checked every missing persons list but have come up empty in their effort to identify the two unclaimed bodies. Now, the last hope of solving the mystery of the identities rests largely with the talent of a state police forensic artist, Trooper Sarah Foster, part of the eight-member team of forensic artists trained in facial reconstruction. The Michigan State Police reconstruction team is the largest in the country and is on 24-hour call to assist law enforcement agencies throughout the country.
