Jack Lessenberry writes: Here's a terribly profound observation. The best map in the world won't do you much good if you don't know where you want to go. And that's the problem with the debate over health care in this country. We have an enormous crisis.

Health care costs are spiraling out of control. Worse, the number of Americans without any health care at all at last count was 46 million, six million more than six years ago.
