Dr. Mahawili talks about demonstration technologies like photovoltaic solar roof tiles and a gas combined heat microturbine. Regarding the future of energy technology, he says Michigan exports $14-15 billion annually to purchase energy (could reach $20 billion soon) and that we need to look at retaining some of that income.
