ARTWORK IN PLYMOUTH-CANTON SCHOOLS: Masterpiece murals
Patricia Montemurri of the Detroit Free Press reports on a unique ongoing art project that recreates masterpieces as murals in Plymouth-Canton high schools. I seem to remember at best a badly painted mascot on my high school's walls along with the ever present student graffiti.
On the walls of Salem High School, students can lose themselves in the lush jungles of Henri Rousseau, the mesmerizing blooms of Georgia O'Keeffe or the bounty of Diego Rivera's flower peddlers.
